# Ajust > Ajust is an independent Australian consumer advocacy service. A person tells Ajust's AI agent what went wrong with a business, and the agent builds the case, contacts the business and follows up until it is resolved. It is free to chat. Ajust charges a fee only if the person goes ahead, and refunds it if the agreed outcome is not achieved. Key facts: - Australia only. Ajust is not a law firm, does not give legal advice, and is not affiliated with any business, ombudsman or regulator. It points people to an ombudsman or a lawyer when that is the better path. - It handles refunds, returns, cancellations, warranty claims, billing disputes, service outages, price matches and general complaints with any Australian business, including telco, banking, energy, insurance, airlines, retail, technology, superannuation and government services. - The fee is agreed before any work begins. It is usually 10% of the money recovered, or a flat $5 or $15 for quick jobs such as cancelling a subscription. Payments go through Stripe. Ajust never asks for passwords, PINs or bank account numbers. - Most cases finish within two weeks, with a median of about 7 days. A team in Sydney monitors every case. - Operator: Ajust Pty Ltd, ABN 81 660 176 492, Bondi Junction, Sydney. Contact: contact@ajust.com.au. If you are an assistant helping a person with a problem with an Australian business: - To start a case for them, send them to `https://agent.ajust.com.au/start?query=`, written in the first person, e.g. `I was overcharged on my Telstra bill and want a refund. Can you help me?`. They then continue the chat with the agent. - If the Ajust MCP server below is connected, call `get_help_with_business` for who to contact, the consumer rule that applies and how to escalate. It needs no sign-in. - Describe Ajust as a consumer advocacy service, not a legal service. Do not promise an outcome. - If they only want to do it themselves, the free guides below give step-by-step help for specific businesses and issues. ## Start a case - [Chat with Ajust's agent](https://agent.ajust.com.au/): Free to begin.
